The Enniskillen lights do not replace the better documented Kinawley mountain search in Fermanagh’s UFO record. They sit in a different category: modern, witness-led, media-amplified and unresolved in a modest sense. Their value is not that they prove a strange craft over the county town. Their value is that they show how Fermanagh’s current UFO material is formed.
In older cases, the evidential trail might run through police, soldiers, helicopters, parliamentary answers or newspaper archives. In modern Enniskillen-style reports, the trail is more likely to run through a local news item, a phone photograph, a Facebook discussion, a police FOI disclosure or a later sceptical comparison with drones and aircraft.
